On this day baby eat first time grainy food or grains and it is celebrated grandly. On this occasion we usually invite our friends and family members to bless the baby and we also organize a small puja at home. This joyous occasion is also known as ‘First Rice Eating Ceremony’ in many places. Apart from this, it is known by different names like ‘Mukhe Bhaat’, ‘Choroonu’, and ‘Bhaatkhulai’.
